It was CKLC’s honor to have invited Principal Chan Kin Pong of Kwong Tai Middle School to share his experience as the Principal and his educational philosophy on how to cultivate the minds of young people today. Principal Chan shared that the middle school principal provides the leadership and the vision that guide not only the curriculum development but also the day-to-day teaching and learning. He also encouraged that young adults should have clear concept of themselves and what they want to achieve in their life. Principal Chan’s questions “who am I?” “Where do I stand now?” and “Where do I want go?” helped students nurture a strong mindset on how to work hard and achieve their personal goals.
Principal Chan’s passion on education was inspiring and encouraging. Our students also enjoyed his personal story of how to turn himself from a government official into a school principal in Macao.
